Someone local mentioned to me a flu going around locally. At fair we all often share drinks from each other's jacks, it might be worth being a little more careful about such things with the predictions for H1N1 returning with cooler weather. The wife had a couple confirmed cases of H1N1 show up in her office on the floor beneath her not too long ago so it's obviously still present here in Minnesota.
When you die can you donate your body to pseudo-science?

While I don't agree with isolationism and seeing everyone as a potential threat like the media would have us, I do agree that it doesn't hurt to be a little more careful. It's a good habit to watch one's beverages anyway, since there are so many saliva communicable diseases: herpes, meningitis, H1N1, colds, regular flu, etc. Certain common measures such as not sitting next to someone who is exhibiting symptoms (looking ill, coughing, sneezing), washing your hands, and covering your nose/mouth when you sneeze and cough are just sensible, now more than ever.

Thanks for the reminder! I was just thinking about this as our faire starts tomorrow (Des Moines!), and we all tend to grab water where we can, and in a pinch, it's from someone else's goblet if our is empty. I'll make sure to remind folks tomorrow!
