Old Tinker does not recall The 4th Gatherin??  Yes, much ale flowed, in addition to many flavorful meads, mayhaps Tinker was further in his cups than he seemed.

To whom it may or may not concern...the hotel is booked for the evening of Saturday, September 13!!!! This does not necessarily mean that I will, or will not, be sleeping (and I use that term loosely) on the castle floor, but it does mean that I will have someplace to shower the following morning...as I will be attending the festival on Sunday as well. Can't wait to see you all again. Until then...

I actually have a relevant question (for once)...

FOOD: Are we doing the potluck routine this time around? Personally speaking, I assume I will be well fed, compliments of the ORF, but...are there others that are not visiting the faire and just doing the castle? Should we just bring snacks? Should this question be it's own topic? What are everyone's thoughts?

Tis a good question indeed ... please let us know what is needed, and Lady Guinness and I will certainly get it.

LOKI? Never had it. But, after reading its ingredients off another website, it seems possible I could potentially forget my own name. A friend told me about it once and said that if I consume it, I may get a bit of a buzz. This is kind of like saying that after you jump off your roof, you may experience contact with the ground. With that in mind, it is probably a good idea to have some "eats" around to temper the affects of the aforementioned beverage....which brings us full circle...FOOD.

I've got a decent 3-bean chili recipe I could make.

(Then again, maybe not a good idea with ale AND Loki...does the castle have a commode and is it equipped with a seat belt?)

Well heck ... if we are going the chili route, I can bring some hard boiled eggs and baked beans ... that and some nice warm budwiser (yuck) should do the trick!
