Awww, sniff sniff y'all. We love y'all bunches and bunches too. And in both of our corporate americas, vacation doesn't accrue that way, Merlin. If you are just dying for details, PM me LOL. We are both out of vacation till 2013. And he's doing awesome! Family conference today at the rehab therapy place. Personally I hope they keep him unable to drive...it means I get to work part time <snicker> :)

I think I know what you're saying...each calendar year you get a block of vacation. We're both state employees, and vacation time accrues x-hours per month, depending on time served.  The truly important thing is a person...Sidekick. You're both constantly in our thoughts.  Maybe we'll come down for a visit just to be visiting y'all...

Since I've not worked on a full time basis since my daughter was born 16 years ago, I can't say I understand a lot of the corporate hoopla regarding vacation days. Not that anyone wants to go without being paid, don't companies let you take unpaid vacation days? I hear people talk about not having vacation days all the time, but it seems to me that (if you can afford it), you could just take the days without pay.

Wow, you are out of touch!  That would mean corporate America would have to be nice and care about you as a person. To them you're just a liability that makes them money and you should be grateful they keep you around :).

I think I need to apologize to all of you in corporate workplaces. I've been a bit flippant about the situation you are in. Sometimes, amid the silliness that is serving with a non-profit, I forget that I have something often sorely lacking in the workplace: an environment where I am a valued member of the team. May all of you find similar workplaces ...

LOL all around. Being in Corporate America I just laugh at it most of the time. I don't let it get under my skin, it's not worth the energy.

But anyway....let's put the thread back on topic! RENDEZVOUS! LOL :)

Last I heard, Trish was going with bells on, so someone had better take pictures for me!

I plan on ringing her chimes...  ::)

Is that legal in North Carolina?

I'd be more concerned with Nim catching him trying!

I like the idea of the scavenger hunt. I'm not sure I'd do the Pub Crawl, mainly because some members, including myself, are under the legal drinking age.

We could always use a sober escort or 3  :)

It'd be helpful if you know how to handle a wheelbarrow and can bring one.

Thankfully there are no big hills in Fairhaven, stick to the dirt pathways and you should be able to crawl back to the parking lot at the end of the day.

The pub crawl at Colorado was a wonderful way to get people to explore the entire faire grounds. The point was made that you did not need to purchase anything at the pub to get "credit" for going to the pub, thereby eliminating the concern for the under aged, prefer not to drink, and already drank too much, people.  ;)
Nothing clever to say here.  Not enough caffine yet.
