Archery Tournament at TRF

One of my favorite things to do at TRF is shoot the longbows. (The ones at the very back of the site)

Has there ever been a sanctioned Archery Tournament at TRF, like at Scarborough? If not, then why not? 

I have a nice recurve that I play around with, but have not been able to use it in the Scarby Tournament because it's not all wood.  

A tournament every weekend would be a nice addition to TRF. Anybody know who I would talk to about starting one?

Are there any Scarby or other Archers that would like to see this happen?

Just sent him an e-mail at TRF. Hopefully, a few Archers will see this thread eventually and be interested in getting the ball rolling. (Any Scarborough Archers out there too?)

They do a sort of tourney at Sherwood as well.  We have a participant in our clan who I'm sure would support getting something started at TRF.

I'm one of the organizer of the Scarborough tournament which isn't run by the faire its a Playtron tournament run by and for playtrons.  Scorborough is kind enough to allow us use of the range and the different ventors provide the prizes.   I've talked to Sherwood about them doing something simular to what we do at Scarborough and given the theme of Sherwood think it would be a great fit.  I only attent TRF and Sherwood a couple, three times a season but would be happy to answer any questions about how we organize and run the tournament aka the rules, equipment etc.  And would of course love to shoot in any tournament on the weekends I'm there.
