Closing weekend

So it turns out that the majority of my troupe won't be able to make it out until at least Friday afternoon for closing weekend.  That being the case (it will only be two of us at first), I've decided to give the thanksgiving jambalaya a pass this year.  Michelle and I will still be hopefully arriving around 10am for the opening of the campground gates, but we're going to keep our camping supplies to a minimum this year. 

We missed ALL of you (as well as the parade and the meet and greet) on 1,001 Dreams weekend due to various circumstances, and we can't let this happen again. 
So, where is the meet and greet these days, and what's going on on the campground on Thursday?

[EDIT]: Also, is that the right time? 10 am on thurs?  It seems like we got there much earlier than that last thanksgiving?

Xed,  Lots of camp ground feasting will be going on on Thursday.  Feel free to stop by Clan P. for some turkey grub.  I'm sure we'll have plenty. 

The M&G is now in front of the coffee shop near the main gate.

We are hoping to get in early to get things setup before Turkey day.. But no official word yet to confirm that dream (o:

We're going to try to get that same camping spot we usually get (2nd weekend someone stole it cause we got there too late).  The plan is to be there at or before gate opening, so we'll be sure to see you guys this year.  If you need a hand setting up, we'll just have our tent at first so I'll be around.

New M&G location sounds great, easy to find.  See everyone this weekend!

[EDIT]: Again, is 10 am the right time for opening?  That's what I keep seeing on FB but it seems like we got in much earlier last year?

From our experience so far this year the gates have been opened earlier than what is posted. Mostly because everyone is getting there early.

My hubby and I are leaving super early Friday morning. Just tired of the late night tent set ups after doing the family visiting all day. We will be camped in our normal spot if we can get it with a large portion of of our clan(they are all showing up at different times of the weekend). We camp at the big fork in the main road ( the first one), on the right hand side when you are driving in. We are bringing my Silver Taurus so we are also camping light. Come say hey!

Was that ya'll next to Clan MacGiggle on Opening weekend (We had a bus with a pop-up behind it, a pop up next to that one, a 3rd pop-up with our kitchen area in the middle and a tent and van on the other side. Bright yellow Dakota truck)? We're only there Opening Weekend, and this year we had a pretty small group, relatively speaking.

I did not get to camp opening weekend but many of our clan did. This is the spot we always try to get.

Yeah, that triangle is NOT a good spot. Will have to remember to pop over next year and say hello Opening weekend (as that's the only weekend our clan camps).

On which side lol with Moo or in our normal spot hahaha  We did not hang our flags so it was our bad! We turned in early both nights as we had a touch of a head cold going around. BUT you might have met my hubby he did a walk about with a friend Sat night. They kept singing a song about zombies hahaha
