Anyone coming from the Houston area this weekend for Sherwood, be careful in Brenham! The hwy 290 reroute, cloverleaf exit has construction at the top of the hill. We almost bit the dust today as traffic backed up down the exit and came to a dead-stop. I did not notice the signs if this was going on over the weekend, or when finished. Suggestion is to slow down earlier in anticipation. C'ya at faire.

Saw that on the way back from Sherwood to Houston Sunday. Since I have to take Sister to cardiologist in Austin Thursday, taking Highway 71 off of Interstate 10 Thursday to bypass Brenham congestion. They added a new traffic light and narrowed to one lane.
