I'm a mom again. .I adopted a puppy-updated with pictures !

     This afternoon,  i became the proud mommy of a four month old, female, lab, beagle, sheperd  puppy named Annabelle.

  Oh is she a cutie. Very sweet, and very well behaved  for a puppy. She has a very, very, very light tan face, almost looks like a very light color yellow lab   through the face  and eyes, except that she has more of a beagle  shaped nose.  She has the black and tan sheperd back,  and then she has very light colored legs. She is liitle. They say she won't get very big. Time will tell. Her feet are not very big. So loves my other two dogs.  They on the other hand, are like what did mom bring home now.   I will post pics  whenever i get my darn camera  working.  Hopeing it just needs new batteries.

So that now makes 2 horses, 3 cats,  and three dogs .  A  small zoo  !   Oh and not to mention a husband, and a four year old. !

  But i could not resist  this thing all curled up in the back of her cage at the kennel,all frighten while the other dogs in the cages around her  were barking  and growling.   And dogs that you rescue  from a shelter i find in my experience, make  wonderful pets !

Congratulations Lady Amy of York!  IMHO that's the best way to become a Mom, bringing a new furkid into the family through the heart!  Congratulations!!!!  I have 4 dogs and 2 cats minself, hopeful to add a couple of horsies to the farm some day.  'Course I'm gonna need to move to something with say 4/6/8 acres to make room for 'em...I digress...enjoy your new family member m'Lady!

I got my camera working and took some pics of her today. she is  abit camera  shy. every time she would do something cute, i would go to grab the camera  and as soon as she would spot the camera  she would  run and hide. But i think i got a few cute shots.  Will try to post them before the weekend is  done.
For a young pup she has been very weel behaved so far. has not tried to chew up anything, and  she whimpers  and lets me  know  when she  wants  to go out.  She sleeps in a puppy crate  at night.
      Yes, she is very cute. I know all puppies are cute, but she is  very, very cute, and i'm not just saying that cause  she is mine.
  She just has these floppy ears  and these big brown sad eyes, and this cute liitle black nose  and these cute little feet.
   We have decided that she has the  tan  and  lack sheperd  colorings but the body and height of a small beagle.  She is  a liitle thing.  Went out today and got her some  toys.
     She was  so funny today.  I introduced her  to the horses.  It was obvious she had never sen a horse before. My horses are not small.  My one horse is 17  and a half hands tall.    Well Annabele just look at him, and her eyes got real big and she just lokked, and looked,.It was like she was saying " Whoa mom,what type of dogs are those  ."
        I will deffinitely try to post some pics  soon !

yea, she is a  doll ! I took one picture of her on the SPCA  website  and knew i had to have her.  (  Note :    don't go looking at the SPCA website  unless you want a dog/ or puppy !    LOL  !   It will lure you  in !   )

I am hoping she will stay Beagle  size. She has sheperd in her too.  I take her to the vet this friday  for her healthy puppy    checkup. so  hopefully i will find out then.  Not that it would matter, but she is  so petite  i want  to be able  to hold  her forvever  and not have her get big !   Plus i have two big dogs, this one i want to stay little !

Yeah, I'm an old softie..   I have my menagerie of animals (4 cats and one dog). I have posted some pictures in Queen Bonnies Realm area of this forum under the "Royal Felines" thread. 

Back to the size thing.. not likely she will stay that size, judging by the size of her paws, looks like she may get much bigger than she is now, of course the vet will be able to tell you better.

Annabelle had her healthy puppy checkup  today.  She is very healthy !  The vet did not think she would  get much bigger in height.  That she would probably be  beagle  size   and  not sheperd .
Yea.  It will be nice to have  amedium  size  dog  in the house for  a change. 

I  have  a huge male  golden retriever,  and  a female  yellow  lab.   They were rescue  dogs  too !
