For anyone in the Western Wisconsin/Eastern Minnesota area who may be suffering from that long dry spell between local faires, I may have an opportunity for you!

Castlerock Museum in Alma, WI will be hosting their annual gala event on May 11, 2013.  This is a big, all-day event we use to commemorate the opening of our medieval arms, armor, and art museum features a great many things: period musicians, historical fencers, food, refreshments, informative presentations, two floors of actual artifacts covering about 1800 years of European history, and even demonstrating metalworkers!

What we would like to add this year, however, is some more ambiance.  That is why we are looking for volunteers to come dressed in their favorite RenFaire garb to spice up the occasion!  While this is a volunteer opportunity, there will be ample opportunity to research your next costume, since we covering Romans, Vikings, Knights, Renaissance gentry, early modern musketeers and everything in between.

Since we are a history museum, we highly encourage costumes that align closely with a designated time and place, (13th century England, for example).  If there are any questions, feel free to PM me.

Hope to see you there!
