With having so much fun with the Pirate Fest last year Sparky was begging to go.  So I let him go while I stayed behind to dragonsit Dougal.  Sparky told me that he had a great time at the Oxford Ren Fest!  For sure I'll be there in my royal blueness next year!  Here's a link few pictures that he managed to take.  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151722057631823.1073741827.676031822&type=1&l=3b2381c723

And a great time was had by all!!!! Well done Oxford Ren Fest... my only complaint is the inadequacy of the lone food vendor who took almost half an hour (and longer for others) to make a hot dog and hamburger.

Orphena you portrayed the queen wonderfully well and thank you for your kind comments. The stage shows were very well attended (Zoltan is only adequate...lol...but happy to see him in fine form yet again). Getting to ride one of the war horses was an excellent treat.

One thing that I wished I had taken pictures of was the performer who presented his butterfly and caterpillar....so creative. Did anyone else get a picture?

Oh my did we have fun!!!!! The weather was perfect. The merchants were fantastic. Knights were unhorsed. And it was awesome to see so many folks in garb. Saturday was a great turn out. Hope this faire continues to grow. Would be nice to have a faire in So Ontario that we can count on every year. ;)
Just one suggestion... pull everything closer together. The grounds are big, but everything was unnecessarily spread out far and wide. And maybe another food vendor or two.

Here's a link to my photos. Feel free to tag anyone you may know and please like my Facebook page to stay updated.
