...or Houstonite, or whatever.

I just relocated from the DFW area down to The Woodlands/Spring area.  TRF is now FORTY-FIVE MINUTES away!  Woohoo!

It ain't the years, it's the mileage.

I told my last job that I wanted to relocate so I could be closer to my mother (who lives near Beaumont), but let's be honest...it's TRF!  :)

Pretty much.  I still don't know where a lot of things are, but I found the post office, my bank, Home Depot, etc.   I'm still trying to find a few weekend hangouts, namely for karaoke and live music.  Going bar-hopping next weekend!

I know there are some places a couple rennies hang out over by Williowbrook mall, and there used to be some good places to eat over in Olde Town Spring I have no idea if they are still there though. It is fun to even just walk it, if you need ot know where it is just let me know I can help you out :) I lived in Spring for years and visited a lot after I moved away.

The Bull & Bear has Karaoke from 9pm, and good food.  It's on Westheimer, though.

Yeah, the B&B is quite a hike from north Spring...especially if I'm drinking!   :)

Beware of the police in Shenandoah and all those bars they patrol like the Fox & Hound, etc.  They just sit there and wait for ya...

Since you are a musician, try The 19th Hole, on Rayford Sawdust.  They usually have live music on weekends.

If any of you non-married Houstonians have a spare bedroom you would like to rent for a short time, I'd be interested.

It's very hard to relocate from out of state with one income.

Leaving Houston was the biggest mistake I've made in THIS life time. Miss all my favorite restaurants and being close to Dallas-San Antonio-Austin, TRF and Scarby.

I used to live way down south in League City, but really like the Woodlands-Magnolia (off 242/1488) area.

Thanks.....................

There's a little free newspaper called "North of the Border" that has club & band listings for the 1960 north to Conroe area. Many restaurants & clubs have it available.
