I saw several videos on youtube on making chainmaile from pop tops - just did a search on "poptop chainmail" - looked fairly easy, but time consuming.

There's a chap in Minnesota that has an entire suit of maille made from pop tabs. You don't even realize it's pop tabs until he's about 5 feet away. I think it's marvelously fun, albeit, time consuming. But what the heck! It's time spent together!
