Typically the wife and i stay the entire weekend when we visit parf but we have talked about maybe just visiting as a day trip.

It is close to a 4 hour drive and neither of us really relishes the idea of driving in garb. Would anyone know of a place close to the faire where we could put on our garb?

Our car is small so changing in it is really not an option  ;D

we used a nearby hotel once, just asked and they let us use an unused conference room.

Though we're not in the Penn area, m'lord Bogie and I travel to faires quite often and we were in the same issue.  I dont want to "freak the mundanes" so I prefer to get dressed in the faire ground parking lot.  We recently purchased a quick set up privy tent at Cabelas.  It's easy to put up and down once you get garb on, and not too much of an investment.  http://www.cabelas.com/product/Trekker-Fold-A-Privy/746435.uts?productVariantId=1637662&WT.tsrc=CSE&WT.mc_id=GoogleProductAds&WT.z_mc_id1=02767589&rid=40&channel=GoogleBaseUSA&mr:trackingCode=E48B99CB-958E-DF11-A0C8-002219318F67&mr:referralID=NA&mr:adType=pla&mr:ad=30920491751&mr:keyword=&mr:match=&mr:filter=52255417511&gclid=CLqplLHS-LgCFY9eQgodywMADQ

Thanks for the responses  ;D  IM wondering if a nearby gas station restroom might do the trick (if it isn't icky lol)

There is a big privy (bathroom) to the left of the gates where you can easily have the room to change before hand then drop off your items into the car before going into the faire grounds.

Are you traveling the PA turnpike?  If so, why not stop at the nearest service plaza before exiting for Faire.  The link above shows all service plazas and what they have to offer.

I'll be at PaRF on Saturday 10/12.

I had thought of that Gina  ;D    I will be traveling on the turnpike but i couldnt remember how far the last stop was before the exit.

The big Privy may work tho!  (thanks medievalmagic85!)
