If there is a tutorial on sewing an underarm gussett using flat-felled seams, would someone direct me to it?  Thanks.

Is there a reason it needs to be a flat felled seam?   In period sewing, they just rolled the edges of each of the pieces and then sewed them together.

It's very simple to do on the machine (the pictures are of my hand sewn chemise but I've done it both by hand and on the machine).

I was wanting to finish the edges so that they would not fray, and french seams appeared to be awkward.  I will practice with the rolled edges.  Thanks for your help.
