so much to express...
the sherwood celtic music festival was a huge success.
the music was over the top.
the performances were perfect.
the environment amidst our beautiful forest was inspiring.
our patrons are the best.

we are such a strong community.

you beautiful people walk up to me and george and thank us for having built sherwood, but in truth, it is you who have built sherwood. you have brought this wonderful spirit and soul to the forest.

we are as organic a faire community as has ever been.

george exposed me to the film/documentary on the first faire in california...and once said how much of the the original spirit and soul of faire is rising as a phoenix within sherwood. i would beg to differ on one point: modern faire may have had it's origins in california, but the spirit and soul of faire goes back to the beginning of time...and we here at sherwood are the next evolution of the soul of community. no kings. no cult figures. no one person indoctrinating others with beliefs (true or false). just a community of people from all walks of life, from all political persuasions, from all socio-economic backgrounds...joining in constructing a never-ending bond of fellowship and brother/sisterhood.

i am blessed.

i was walking through the campgrounds saturday night late...after visiting valhalla with my family...when a camper approached me. she asked if my boys (ages 12 and 14) were gonna be spending any time with me at trf. i said sure. she asked if they could get together with her 13 year old sometime in the evening...that she wanted her son exposed to faire life after hours.

geez, isn't this what we are about? generational stuff. passing on this experience, this hope, this expression of community to our kids?

love yall.
it's all about the journey and the people we choose to make the journey with

The husband and I only stayed for Saturday, but we loved it! Alex got into the Highland games so much his voice is still a little scratchy from yelling. It was a beautiful day with lots of awesome stuff happening around every corner.
