Wow, it looks like a helluva party happened here a long time ago. Inches of dust, cobwebs, empty bottle and mugs everywhere. I don't want to know what used to be on the tray on the table. I'm sorry to say I came too late. I'll need to just listen to people's stories and memories.

I was sort of thinking of that as a kind of computer forensics, but I looked it up; digital archaeology is an actual specialized field in archaeology. That is pretty cool.
