Our Faire is in the Shire of Mount Hope, a summer getaway for the Queen. Kinda nice, no?

My home Faire would be The Pittsburgh Ren Faire also known as Morelandshire

I'm with Lady Mikayla in that Fairehaven (CRF) is one of my homes. Kingston upon Hull (NCRF) is the other.

We went to Four Winds earlier this spring and I noticed that it doesn't seem to be based on a historical village like Scarborough is.
Is this the most common trend in Faires these days?

When you visit the Northern England seaside town of Scarborough, ask any of the cast, they can tell you where the North Bay and the South Bay of Scarborough is located.

I visited Warwick, England, back in 1994.  If I had my checkbook with me, I would have bought a 3-storey building in downtown Warwick built in the 1500's!  I LOVE that place and plan on returning someday.  they even had a Domino's Pizza.  If you get the chance to go, stay at the Wheatsheaf and visit the Roebuck for a few pints.

Regarding New Market and Scarborough, I found both on a period map of England, so they were real.  Pretty sure both are still there today.  Scarborough is kind of funny because in England, it's a port, but here in TX, it's completely landlocked - not even a pond on the site.  We do get enough "pira-" uh, "privateers" coming through that I'm sure we consider ourselves a port.

Scarborough has a 'Port' where the pegleg stage has a ship in moorings. It's just hard to see the ocean.  :)

All Scarborough baby....
although I am contemplating trying others over the next year.

Lots of people to seem to enjoy TRF.... not sure anything can compare Scarby though.
