We just say "Gyro".

Example:  I'm fixing to head over the Agora area cause I got a real hankering for a Gyro.   ;D

like 'j-eye' 'ro'  - hard 'j' :)

Gauwyn, looks you nailed it for how it's generally pronounced at the Texas faires.  There's a local greek place that we stop at from time to time, and that's how they pronounce it.  Sounds like it might not be the Greek way to pronouce it, but it's gets the job done when your standing there with $$ in hand.

And it still sounds pretty good right now, however it's pronounced.   :D
Spiced rum....hmmmmm

IS IT FAIRE YET?  I can almost smell kettle corn...

...and hear the pretty, young lass ask "Would you like to try my nuts?"

No but would you like to try mine?  :o

Yep, I went there.  ;D

Depends on if I have a job or not. If I do then I'll probably try for the campfire onion bombs again this year.  If I don't I maybe depending on the kindness of others to help supplement my food and drinks for the weekend.  ??? ::)

We all might have to do a "Rennie Stone Soup" night, before it's all said and done with...I'll bring the rock.  ;D

Ive stockpiled a bit over half of the stuff I need for my Saturday night stew...some more veggies and maybe a chuck roast I can let simmer for a couple of hours before I build the stew on top of it.

Yeah, we have had years where it was hot dogs and sandwiches for the weekend.  That may be what we end up with this year!  We will see...
