CoRF is over sadly, but that doesn't mean faire season is over. One of the nations biggest is TRF down in Plantersville (North of Houstan) Toki and I are looking for 1 or two warm bodies who who would love to go down for a CoRF RENvasion.

We plan on taking our XTerra which is quite comfy and has room both inside and on top for "stuff".

We are leaving Oct 23rd early morning. We will drive all day and make a stop in Wichita Falls Texas at the Super 8 ($62.08) for a room. If there is a couple or two females/males, you could share a room if you like and cut your costs. We will then get up Friday Morning and drive to Navasota, Texas and stay at the Super 8 there (208.88 for three nights once again a couple or two females/males you could split this), which is about 21 miles from TRF. Toki and I will most likely meet a friend for supper.

We will then leave on the 27th in the morning and make a stop to rest along the way. Possibly in Abaline, Texas. We will get back to Colorado on Tuesday

There is a possiblilty that I may be able to get free tickets to faire. Don't count on it though and if I can that will save you $42 for both days.

We had talked of doing a long haul drive but since this is faire we want to be refreshed and not tired so we can have more fun.

So if we can split the gas 4 ways (Toki and I and then 2 others) it will cost about $150 - $175 approx each for gas. You can spend about room cost and make it about $166 for 5 days. Food? Faire $42 for both days and then what ever you want.l So to make this trip it would run you about $382 NOT counting any food which of course you do need so maybe $150 for that maybe a wee bit more depending on what you eat and how much you eat.

Renmail me or email me if interested delaneyalysa@comcast.net

But why pay when I clearly state I might be able to get them for FREE. I'll take free any day over paying any money as would anyone else.

eesides that's not what is important. Finding 1 or 2 other bodies who would like to go and cut expences is what Toki and I are looking for.

I would love to go but can't.  :(

However, I have a large box I'd like for you to take with you. You would need to be very careful not to shake or disturb the box, except to maybe knock on the side three times at rest stops or when breaking for food. I have no idea what is inside, but a list of suggested music to play will be made available. Thank you.

Can it be dragged behind the XTerra as a very large box most likely would not fit. Maybe it could rest on the luggage rack on top, but only so long as we clear over passes ot it may hit an over pass we go under?

Suggested music, Like say Blackmores Night, Loreena, And then Heavy metal like Within Temptation, Nightwish, Xandria? And food, what kind? is stale bread OK?

Toki and I wish you could go also :(

So, you have decided to travel on my birthday I see... how cliche... (just kidding- it's an "elite travelour" joke)

I understand your concerns with regard to the logistical handling of such a large item, therefore I am prepared to volunteer to travel in place of said package. That way we wouldn't actually need to drag anything behind the Xterra.

Music suggestions:
Folk Tune Favorites- From Reusable Mouthwash

The Best of Glove Routine, including hits from the album, Save a Barnacle for Me

Anything by the Hoovers (Yeah, they suck)

Toki and I would love to have you join us for this MOST EXCELLANT Road Trip... kind of Like Bill and Ted's Excellant journey, but missing Bill and Ted, but I can do a Pretty good Keanu Reeve impression in every movie he has ever made :)

If you are serius and want to join us, you would be welcome to. So far it is just Toki and I, 1 or two more would be awesome. If you are serious email me at delaneyalysa@comcast.net You and you sister are both welcome, but only as long as she carries no ruler and doesn't look like a penguin as it might tramatize Toki to much.

And of cousre you woul dbe welcome to share in the tunes as long as it's not Run DMC, Vanilla Ice Ice baby, 2pok, or anything like that, I might have to go ghetto if you did, and no one wants to see a noble go ghetto.

Laney,

If you can get one or two more to travel with you and Toki that would be MOST awesome.  While I am rarely able to get away from the booth in time to make the R/F gathering at teh POW pub, It would really be great to meet you all in person.

I lived at 52nd and orange ave and it was called East San Diego or ESD, the tried to change the name but didn't stick to well. But i was born and raised there until i moved to denver in 97. I tell you it was fun living with all the brothers when you sit in the front yard blasting Iron Maiden drinking a cold one and smiling as they drove by.

Yes i went to one of them really nice High Schools, you knot the type whee once in a while after school you walk off campus to have police on every corner with m16's. God what fun days

Nope, not if one presents oneself as a Biker.  They tend to avoid making problems with Bikers for some reason.  I think they think we're crazy.

What is funny is Texans I knew in the past felt that Colorado was really a part of Texas. Which is true to a point. I living in the northern part of less than 60 miles from Wyoming comes from the part that was France and ruled by Frenchies and Natives called Arapahoe, Kiowa, Pawnee, Cheyenne, Sioux.

So while parts of Colorado where Texas, where I live wasn't and we don't take lightly to invasions  ;D

We did!  My dad was stationed there, at Templehoff.  We were there between 1989 and 1991, right when the Wall came down.  We got there in January, the wall opened in November, if I remember correctly.  I was pretty young though, only about 3 when we left.  I'm not sure the name of the housing area, but it was brand new when we got there and it was right next to a school.  Thankfully, my mom took video recordings of EVERYTHING while we were there, so we have a lot of stuff...plus pieces of the Wall that she took off herself, all this fascinating stuff.  I wish I could remember it, but I can still say I was there!
