Scarborough fire

On Tuesday, March 14, the Pendragon Costumes booth at Scarborough Renaissance Festival caught fire, and our building was lost to the flames.

Since there’s only one month before the festival opens, we must determine what our level of participation at Scarborough can be this year, but with your help it’s possible that we can make a swift recovery from this loss and come back even stronger.

Thank you for supporting us both now, in our time of need, and for the last 23 years. It’s been our pleasure to share our passion with you, our friends and family, and we are overwhelmed by your outpouring of support.

Broom Sticks, a darling booth owned by Jo Dixon at the Scarborough Renaissance Festival is one of the two booths damaged on Tuesday when a fire broke out in the empty shops. The Faire is set to open in three weeks which doesn't give her much time, but Jo Dixon is determined to be at the festival for her 24th season, and have a fresh, clean booth for her straw brooms and other delightful items. The news picture and video show the unexpected extra work and finance that will need to be put in to the booth, which was not a total loss, but with your help and her drive, Broom Sticks will be there!!
