Is it just Americans and maybe Canadians that have ren faires and dress in garb ? I believe there is a  Shakespeare festival  in England . I doubt seriously you could find a ren fest in Mexico , LOL.  Go figure huh, we seem to connect with Medieval Europe unlike probably anyone else. Europe is so lucky with their castles and villages.
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are---
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Renaissance Magazine posts listings of Faires in Europe.  In England, France, Italy, Germany, and probably some of the other countries.  I just can't remember.  They may not be called Renaissance Faires.  Sometimes called Medieval or other names.  Try Googling in the country you're interested n.

Ten years ago, I was scouring the Internet, finding Festivals all over the world - and plotting them in a KML file, which you can open in Google Earth.

Since it's been so long ago, I'm sure it's out of date - but the file is located here, if you're interested - https://sites.google.com/site/dbaldock9/kmlfiles

Someone else here on the forum, has taken the idea a step further, and created an interactive web interface, based on the Google Maps API.  I can't remember the link, though.
