The Passing of Our Queen
    by Don Trimble

The passing of our Queen and friend
has brought on me an ode to pen.
She touched our lives in so many ways
with wit and smiles 'til no more her days.

She reigned with Al at feasts and faires
with smiles and waves and tales to
share.

She watched the games with queenly grace
and the joust and knights brought smiles to her face.
Her life was filled with sarcasm and laughs
and most of it pointed to Al and his gaffs.
Her laughter was welcome and wit was her means
to show those around her that she was the Queen.

Family and friends were a treasure to her
with love for her best friends who happened to have fur.
Her devotion and caring for those whom she loved
were proof of her life and a touch from above. As life drew on and times got tough
she made her way when things were rough.

Her determined spirit was a thing to behold
for that served her better than silver or gold.
She drove and pushed and pressed on through
the trials of life that some never knew.
Her fight was silent and hope was her sword
through all of the strife she showed no discord.

As we have gathered to celebrate her life,
this Queenly woman and friend and wife.
The great loss for us now reminds us to see
that time is a treasure and it tends to flee.

The passing of our Queen and friend
has brought on me an ode to pen.
She touched our lives in so many ways
with wit and smiles 'til no more her days.
