MNRF Rumor control

For years there has been an on-going rumor that the front gate is going to be moved. Peterson, the owner of MNRF himself was at the Master Artists' Dinner Saturday night and he said there was no plan to move the gate in the near future.

He said they will be continuing to excavate the parking lot area section by section along the east side of the site and implied it would be a 7-8 year (depending on construction industry fluctuations) process of excavation and then back-filling to reclaim the excavated areas as they go.

Just head off any rumors...
The MAF office says there is no plan to add another weekend to the end of the MNRF run as was just announced during sixth weekend of their MIRF show (and is now listed on their website http://michrenfest.com/ It sounds like their fifth weekend was even rainier than ours.)
