Tudor Workshops in Northern California

Henrician Workshops To Be Held In Northern California~~~





Hello!

Anyone who can come to these workshops, we are going to create from the skin out H/A as possible, Henrician Clothing.
Class will be from 11:00am to around 4:00pm or later if need be.

You will need basic Sewing Tools, and Sewing Machine, and each workshop will be structured to get (hopefully  ;D ) the best result.

The dates are as follows:

September 27

We will have Kimiko Small, who has been researching Henrician Clothing for the better part of 7 years.
We will be discussing basic overview to fabric selection, how to obtain the basic look and patterns currently on the market.

Workshop will be for the Smock
You will need to bring 3.5 yards of 45" or 2.5 of 54" Material
Fabrics: Linen- Handkerchief weight, Cotton Batiste or Muslin, Silk 8mm or lighter.  You will need to have fabric washed and ironed before the workshop.

October 18
Discussion:Accessories and Jewelery of the Henrician Period
Workshop:  Petticoat and Kirtle mock-ups or toiles of the petticoat and kirtle for you to be fitted.
You will need to bring: 12 yards of Muslin or Fabric for pattern and your own pattern that you have decided to use cut out and ready to cut the fabric mock-up with.


November 15
Discussion: Hats and Hair
Workshop: Overgown and Sleeves mock-ups or toiles of the overgown and sleeves for you to be fitted.  Work on the squaring of your smock.
What you need to bring: 12 yards of mock up fabric, like muslin.


December 20
Discussion:  Getting it all together, help with anyone new to add into the group
Workshop: Fashion fabric time and helping with any loose ends to finish the gown.  Help with any issues for 12th Night for the SCA

January 17
Workshop:  Fitting issues fixed on this last workshop, help in getting accessories done and hat help.

We are asking these be a potluck, there is no monetary fees, just bring yourself and have a ball!
