I guess the faes that wear goggles, must fly really fast, sort of like bikers and pilots of old wear goggles. It's a pretty cool look. But, I must say all the faes here look very authentic and the costumes/garb well planned and designed. Good work to evryone.

The goggles are part of a trend of "steam punk" faeries.

Very cool. Suspension of disbelief is always fun. Especially since as far as we know steam power was only beginning to be used experimentally after the renaissance and really didn't take off as a viable power source until the 19th century. But, who knows maybe people with money and especially the fae of days long gone had the equipment to use steam.
