Our guild took part in an outreach situation at a local ranch in an event this past weekend called "Special Kids Day".  It was an opportunity for those with physical/mental handicaps to do a variety of things from petting zoo to karaoke.  We allowed kids the opportunity to try on armor, and to launch water balloons from the trebuchet.

AWESOME in SO many ways. Thank you for caring, and being a part of something like this.

Thank you.  She will be six months on Tuesday.  Going to take her to TRF this year for her first ever Faire.  Hopefully she swings my way and becomes a future Rennie.

LOL! You just took the idea right out of my head Lord Virgo cause I was thinking the same thing to that she was a future rennie in the making as well.  ;D

Went to the Houston Highland Games & Celtic Festival on a nice rainy Saturday, where I saw several RenFest Forum Members.

All of the photos I shot have been uploaded to a set on my Flickr account.

Var enjoying Maggie Drennon's performance.

Very cool, Wildabeast. I think it's important to help those children also. Even adults in that situation. We have no idea what their imaginations have going on, and we should include them in our hobby.

Manwariel

I took this one at GARF the other day:

Nice shot Manwariel. I'm always a sucker for a good joust at a ren faire you know.

So, on Sunday afternoon I went and took pictures at the Kemah Boardwalk.

All the photos have been uploaded to a set on my Flickr account.

It was busy and pretty crowded, but I managed to take this picture when there weren't a lot of people around - although you can see some reflected in the fender.

EDIT: After lordwriothsley's question, I did some searching and found that it's a 1953 Chevy 3100 Pickup Truck.
