I'm doing paned sleeves on one of my dresses. I'm only doing three panes. I know my limits, but the set you have looks amazing!!!!!!

Margo Anderson's Women's Elizabethan ensembke pattern has a Paned Sleeve as well. That is a beautiful sleeve design for Spanish and Italian gowns. There's also suggestions for the Paned Caps for the sleeves too.

I love paned sleeves! In addition to being gorgeous, they have built-in air conditioning!!!!  :D

Thanks for reposting the pattern.
I ended up using 6 linen lined panels instead of 8 reversible ones.
Eight reversible - what was I thinking!

My sleeves are coming along fine:

You haven't had enough coffee unless you can thread a sewing machine while it's running.

This may be the wrong place to ask this question but what do you do with the sections once you have them made?

I connect the pieces at strategic points with buttons. Another term for this is 'ouches'. This is both functional and decorative.

The sleeves can be attached to the bodice/jerkin by many methods including the button & loop closure from another thread.

The best possible section to ask this question.  ;D

I'm leaning towards that option myself.
There's also the use of grosgrain ribbon: http://www.historicalalterations.com/1550Venetian/1550Venetian.htm

Or just ties:
