It's the middle of the woods in the middle of the boondocks of Virginia -- did you think they stopped at the gates when they saw the "No Pets" sign?? Don't worry -- the grounds guys throw them back over the creek when they see them. Seriously, though -- it's not like the Rose Stage is going to erupt in snakes a la Raiders of the Lost Ark, it's just that it *is* the country, and there's wildlife. It lives there all year, we just borrow the spot for five weeks. I've got snakes in my yard too -- it's really cute when one of my cats runs up to the porch to give me a nice fresh garter snake they've just caught. Sometimes still wriggling.

Just Memorial Day itself was canceled......they will still have a faire for the weekend.   So M'Crack Gathering will stay the same.
