I wonder how long before Ebay pulls it?

....and I am furiously checking every piggy bank in the house.
In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

Once Debauched

Why would they pull it?  I've seen several different auctions of the same type.  Apparently selling high dollar art on eBay works.

Who knew?

If that's really a real copy of that, it makes me sick that its being sold on eBay.
Still Meggers, just a little more grown up now. :)

Meh, I wouldn't bother.

Several things scream out at me:

1. They didn't even spell El Greco properly
2. "Date created" in the top of the listing says 1800-1899, yet he died in 1614, so how did he paint it 200 years later?
3. one place claims "*FREE SHIPPING FOR THIS PAINTING TO ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD", another states "Buyer pays fixed shipping cost. Usually the price range is from 80 to 120 USD.", EBAY Shipping and Handling section says $30 anywhere in the world.
4. shipping includes insurance up to $100 ON A PIECE THEY ARE ASKING OVER $18k FOR???
And my favorite:
"Born in the Post-Bizantine world and trained in the iconic art, he moved to Italy were he learned a lot with the masters of Renacence. "

*snort* The sad fact of the matter is that people will fall for frauds like this.

I like how the signature on the back appears to be done in fingernail polish...
