Yay!  Great work.  Looks fantastic.

Gem, that dress looks like something out of a painting! Fantastic work as always.

The pirate gown is almost done.  Only the hem to put up...

All neatly finished off inside...

Lady Rebecca

Lovely work, both of you! Gem, I'm especially impressed that you matched your pattern from bodice to skirt. Nice!

I have finished the bulk of a 1780ish en fourreau-back polonaise. It still need sleeves, the petticoat, and all of the details done, but it's definitely coming along. The stitching down of the en fourreau pleats by hand was so tedious! Pictures tomorrow. :)

The Bathory gown Chemise is almost finished save for the buttons. The Underskirt is cut out and ready to assemble. Here is a photo of the trims I am usung for the Chemise Sleeve Cuff as well as for the gown itself.

The trim was a closeout from www.pillagedvillage.com called Pappillon. It was the most Hungarian looking in my trim stash. The small trim is from JoAnn's.

The Corsets are at ther Shoe Repair for Grommetting.

More photos as I progress.

The Elizabeth Bathory Project so far...

A low necked Chemise from an embroidered Cotton Voile with the trimmed cuffs. Rather than make a waistband for the Underskirt, I did a drawstringed waist instead for easier adjustment. I made  the Underskirt from the SIMPLICITY Tudor pattern. I cut 4 pieces of piece #9 ratehr than 6. It's plenty full at the hem already.

Now onto the Overskirt and very unusual neck ruff.

Closeup of the trims and Chemise fabric. The Bathory portrait details an unusal cuff. This is my take on that feature. There are buttons and Loops.

Better detail of the Contrast fabric for the Underskirt forepart. I used this fabric for the forepart of the Pelican Portrait gown. It's a gorgeous drapery fabric I special ordered from JoAnn Fabrics. This would make a stunning gown as the main fabric. Some day!

Here's pics of my floral polonaise. I still have to press all the seams and pleats, add the sleeves, and finish the majority of the matching petticoat. And finish sewing on the remainder of the hooks and eyes down the front. But it's mostly done.

Oh the floral is so beautiful!  I especially like the waistline in the back.  Lays beautifully.  So lovely

Lady Kathleen, I cannot tell you how thrilled I am with the Bathory gown so far! Stunning work, as always, thank you!  :)

Lady Rebecca, your polonaise is gorgeous ~ I'd love one someday, and the floral you chose looks perfect!

Everyone's work is so lovely, this really is one of my favorite threads ~ such fantastic eye candy!

Lady Rebecca! Your 18th Century gown is coming along beautifully. Great colors and print.

Tygr! Save up! You woulds look stunning in 18th Century being that your part of the country was part of the Original 13!

My next project for me is going to be 18th Century in the Duchess of Devonshire mode for day and evening wear.

That's the plan...and I'll probably be ready the same time next year  :)

Love all that hand stitching detail on your bodice, Lady Rebecca.  Much respect for that.  The gown is a splendid thing indeed.

Here's the progress on the pirate gown and the bonkers chemise gown to go under it.
