All I can say ladies is.... Wow, so very lovely

Lady L

I love looking at all the beautiful projects going on!

Here's mine. Drafted the whole pattern myself, made the bodice out of leftover pieces I had on hand, including canvas interlining and cotton lining. Just need to add the grommets. I tried it on my granddaughter this evening and it fits her so well! The chemise is almost done, need to hem it. I also made matching velveteen cuffs, which also need grommets.

Lady K, that gown is REALLY going to be something special!  Opulent and suitably OTT!  I love it.

Tixi, you gown is also very special.  I just love the simplicity of it, and the clean lines...  Don't fret about the boning showing through.  Just something to teach the rest of us and for you to remember in future.  The camera always highlights out slightest discrepancies, and I bet no-one notices when you wear it.

Lady L, that bodice is so cute!  can we see pix of the granddaughter in it when done?  I bet she adores it.

Lady L - that's a very pretty bodice. Neat fabric.

I cincur with Kate. The Tudor gown made from the newest SIMPLICITY pattern is lovely. Simple with clean lines. Can be further embellished at a later time, for no garb is truly finished.

Lady L!!  How fun is it to draft a pattern for a little girl!!  When I did my grandaughter's Elizabethan ensemble in 2004, everything was hand drafted save for her chemise and Bodice sleeves. I even made a little bumroll for her. I did all the embroidery and beading as well. This time around at 12, she would rather have something wenchy.

I love how pink it is actually, very princess and fairytale looking I think...  In fact, I like this white and pink venitian more than any other venitian I've seen!!  Congrats on the color combo and the pretty flowy sleeves.

Thank you LadyElizabeth!  I had been wantin g to make a venetian and when i came across this fabric at Walmart for $1.50 and yard i knew it was meant to be.

So many wonderful projects going on hard to know where to begin to comment.

Almost done...should finish up this week! My dressform isn't set to my measurements right now and I don't have the corset on it, thus the kinda wonky look of the bodice heh.

All I need to do is put the trim on the skirt, hem it, and add the shoulder treatments to the bodice. Woo!
