There is a new warning out by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

Sherwood brand Pirate's Gold Milk Chocolate Coins are being recalled due to the fact that they contain Melamine, the ingredient in milk products that has caused many infant deaths in China.

These candies are sold at Costco as well as many bulk and dollar stores.

The US FDA says these coins are NOT sold in the USA.

However, you may still want to keep an eye out for SHERWOOD BRAND PIRATE'S MILK CHOCOLATE COINS just in case any have made it to American Stores.

Be sure to forward this article onto other friends and parents to let them know what's going on.

Thanks!!  Kinda scary.   :o

My kids love chocolate coins too - need to eyeball brands as they bring their bags home tonight.

I'll just highlight this..

In China, melamine-tainted milk has been linked to the deaths of four babies and illness in tens of thousands of other children.

Don't eat nothing that is produced in China.  These candies and chocolates are usually the foil wrapped novelty style
VENI, VIDI, VELCRO! Spelling and grammatical errors are beyond my control, it's the way I'm wired.

Quoting from the article on WebMD;

"This was an insolated situation in Canada only. These coins were not sold or shipped into the U.S. market," states a Sherwood Brands news release.
