Your Inner Vagabond in Lawrenceville is hosting a unique event this Friday at 7:30.  As I understand it the event is hosted by Khafif, a Pittsburgh-based belly dance group.  Each of the Sisters of Ameretat will take part in the event.  If you're looking for an unusual way to spend Halloween, this sounds like it fits the bill.

I'm trying to juggle my schedule so I can get there on Friday.  Hope to see some of you there, too!

Jan and I plan on being there.  Just thinking about seeing the Sisters again takes the chill off.  Your Inner Vagabond is an interesting place to begin with and Khafif will make it even more so.  A few rennies would complete the picture.

Since the Sisters Ameretat go all out to support other things, we should all come out for them.  Let's call it a rennie event.

See you there.

Absolutely!!!  I plan on being there.  I hope I can find it.  I've never been there before.

Thanks for adding the link on Professor!
God bless ye all!  Can anyone tell me why the Drambuie is gone again?

Thank you so much guys!

Yes, The Halloween Hafla is an annual tradition sponsored by Khafif, the professional troupe that Sadira and I dance with.

The night will include live music, dance of all kinds fantastic and kitschy, and a great atmosphere.  I'm in charge of the line-up for the evening, and Andrew from Your Inner Vagabond is a wonderful and welcoming host.

There will be multiple performing appearances by all four of The (female) Sisters (no Paul-- but Sadira, Sarai, Emay, and I will all pop up more than once) and you may see some other familiar faces as well.  We'll have an open dance floor after the show, so for all of you who wanted to learn some dance moves, this is your time!

Feel free to come in costume if you'd like-- all of the performers and many of the patrons will be costumed.  (Although with you folks,  I almost find myself thinking that your "street clothes" ARE your fest clothes... and I wonder why you look odd when I see you in mundanes!)

We hope to see many of you there-- The Sisters all miss their fest family!

That's worth the price of admission, right there!

I did say "up" and not "out," right?  I'm having one of those days...   :P

I'm going to dress up as a boring old person.

Anymore, I consider my mundane clothes a costume.  I wish I was wearing my normal clothes; garb.  But then it wouldn't be a costume would it.   If there would have been at least 5 other people who said they would come and wear garb (not counting the lovely dancers) I would have.

Oh, what a fun evening!  There were so many surprises it wasn't funny!  Well, yes, in fact, some of it was very funny.  Dancing to Sergeant Pepper and O Fortuna!

Our Sisters were fabulous!  The costumes were wonderful and the Pistachio Baklava was something else!  I couldn't imagine a better way to spend Halloween.  Thanks for letting us know about this great time  We had a ball!  And the glowing fingers in the Siren piece were pure genius!

Oh its great to find yet another way to spend a fun evening with friends.  All of the performers were amazing!  It was great to see Emay again (for the first time since faire), and the Sgt. Pepper costumes were great.  I'll never hear the Beatles quite the same way as I used to.  I should also mention how good it was to see Kristy Moore, whose dancing always amazes me.

April, it was good to get the chance to talk with you.  And Patrick (EBT12), it was fun having you join us, too.  Angela and I had fun watching Patrick point and say "I think I KNOW that person" a few times.

Thanks everyone for a fun evening!
