I was finally able to make it out there from Virginia where I live and I loved it.  You have a HUGE faire that is very nice and a great deal of fun.  Spent Saturday and Sunday enjoying the faire.  Its interesting that pets are allowed as I have never been to another faire that permits pets.  They were everywhere and seemed to be having a good time as well.  This is a faire I would definitely go back to if time permits!  Here are the pictures I took that weekend so enjoy.  http://good-times.webshots.com/album/568072281qfBsmC

I've been to the faire twice now once in 2006 and opening weekend this year. I got to spend four hours there this year and my two girls and I have a blast can't wait to go back again next year. Can't wait until I get a chance to look at your pics.

Thank you for sharing your photos! Regarding the pets, I did not care for it. IMO there was too much potential to step on the animals as there was a large attendance the day I went last year. Plus, I saw people not cleaning up after the dogs. One example that stood out was a mundane woman was practically dragging her minpin behind her. The dog desperately needed to go to the bathroom and was pooing as she was tugging on the leash. She never looked behind her to see what was going on with the dog. I felt sorry for the dog and for anybody who was walking in the lane behind her. Totally turned me off from having dogs at ren fest.

heh... i was only there for a very short time on saturday so i didnt expect to see any pics of myself.... saw plenty of good friends and other familiar faces in those pics, though. i cant wait for next year. i'm hoping maybe to be able to go to bristol at some point this spring to hold me over until KCRF starts again.
