My wait is almost over !!

Ok... 24 hrs from now I will be placing my feet on Tx soil once again and eagerly awaiting Sat morning so I can join you at TRF !!!  I've been reading about all the fun and looking at the pics and wondering why in the world I planned my trip towards the end of the run instead of the beginning  *headdesk*  lol 

While I am usually quiet and read alot more than post in here, I am hoping to find some of you and say hello.  I hope you dont think it weird if I know you and you have no idea who I am.  So let me introduce myself ...I'm Desert Rose...  *grins*  and I am not a stalker really !!!   uhm... just a bit shy... lol  Gawd, and I dont even have a pic of myself to post in here ... sorry 

I know to look for everyone at the POW after the parade... the only problem will be if my group does like they did last year I wont even get in the gates until after 1 pm... grrr...   I seem to be the only early riser in the group.  While I wont be camping this year, a couple of the guys might be, so I might have a chance to wander around the campgrounds one evening... dont know yet. 

Dang it ... I should have gotten a pin... I knew I should have ... is there any way to get one at faire?

*bounces up and down*  I bet I dont sleep a wink tonight !!

Don't worry, DesertRose, alot of people on here don't have pics and even if they do, they may not be clear enough to know the person when you meet them...  At least for me it's always hard to recognize fellow R/Fers.  But certainly come and say hi either way, we are all a friendly bunch.

We'll be out on Sunday.  Look for the femaile Ranger in company with a Scotsman and his sheep (really - Lawrence carries a cute stuffed sheep puppet around with him).

As to why you planned your visit later in the season - you instinctively knew that it wouldn't be HOT this late in the run.  The early weekends are usually murder.

We will be there this weekend camping around row 8 with Clan McLotofus and we are always at the POW for the parade and the meet-n-greet afterwards.

Ok.. here I sit on Sat morning, back at home at my computer while you guys are at faire having fun.  I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helps make TRF that magical place it is.  We had a great time last weekend and next year I do plan to bring the whole family with me.  I think my kids will love it as much as I do.

Next year I plan to   a.  have posted a pic of myself in here somewhere...
                            b.  have an R/F pin right in the middle of my hat so you can all see it !! 
                            c.  write down where everyone is so I can find them to say hi

I did finally find the POW, but not until about 5 o'clock on Sunday afternoon.  I figured the meet and greet was over by then.        I did find a couple of you and got to say hello though.  Blue...thank you so much for pulling that spider out of my hair...  *shudders*  I hate spiders !!  lol

I hope to be camping w/McLotofus next year on Thanksgiving, but if you get rain and sleet ect. again this year hubby will probably veto that idea and we will come earlier.  Hoping you all have a wonderful  time this weekend and great weather for the last weekend !!
