There are other colors as well like a robins egg blue that is beautiful

I'd love to have a dress with Fluer-de-Lis pattern and these are nice but pricy.

That's gorgeous fabric! I especially like the red. I'm way too cheap to buy something like that, though. I don't like paying more than $2 a yard  :P (Wal-Mart's $1 per yard fabric has me spoiled).

Here's a lovely Damask that has Lady De Laney salavating at the moment... that I stumbled upon.

This site has a lot of great looking fabrics for a fraction of the cost that would make garb for any Period from Medieval through Victorian Periods. Oh my!!   So many fabrics to choose from, so little money!!!  >:(

Yes I am wanting Lady Kathleen to use this with a deep green for my next dress. It will resemble this one with some changes. The back will lace up not the front and will not have a train. Underneath I will wear a sheer ruffedled partlet. The red will be replaced with deep green and will have black tim with gold, the partlet will have gold trim and both sleeves will be removable and can be worn with out the doublet. The dress will also have pearls on it.

Thanks for the link Cilean!!!  I just bookmarked the page.

That does beat the other price by far!! I will order some  swatches  after the holidays to get a feel for how it work for a gown.

Sorry I was thinking, you know I am a Fleur de Lys nut myself, and I have used stamping methods which were period, to stamp on gowns.  I have various stencils that I have used to make curtains for my 'bedroom' in my pavilion to keep out the sun.  So you can get the lovely dupioni or taffeta and then stamp on the fabric.

I wish I had some pictures but I don't at the moment when I get to use the pavilion again I will show you all!
