I'm going for sure.

What: Celtic Dragon's "Imbloc/St. Brigid's Day Festival"
Where: 1503A Chartres  Houston, Texas 77003 (first floor of "Meridian")
When: Sat. January 31, 2009  noon to 8:00p.m.
Admission is free.
This festival benefits the Shriner's Hospital of Houston.

These folks are trying to bring back the many Celtic festivals that used to go on a few years ago in Houston. (remember the "Garden in the Heights" days?) They need our support to make them successful. I hope to see some of us there!

I posted pics from this night on Myspace, and will add them here when I finish editing them: lighten, crop, zoom, etc. and I could use help with some of the names!

If ye didn't make it, ye missed quite the event! Fantastic craic! It's been many moons since I've laughed so much!  ;D

I'm sorry I missed it.  I'd like to see some pics and read how it went.

There's also a Celtic Festival at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church on February 15th from noon on.  Zardoz has posted this elsewhere.  I haven't been to this and am looking forward to it.

During labor and delivery, he goes 'in" wearing a miner's helmet (with light.)

Pull the sword from the stone...come on, ye know ye want tae!

All hail the new king!!

Nice pics!  Thanks!  I've seen that play at McClellans' Scottish Pub a few months ago.  Is that Lars Sloan on the pipes?

Aye, 'tis! Apparently he and Brian played at TRF this year and I missed it. If I work faire at all next season, it will only be carrying a banner in parade. And this time, I mean it!

I missed Lars and Brian, too, although I enjoyed Tartanic and Wind & Alchemy.
