OK, as you may or may not know... I count in the "fluffy" category.
I am trying to find someplace where I can find myself a pirate/buccaneer coat  along this style:

except more of a green color

If you have any fluffy guy piratey websites... please send them along.

I think it's the same coat, and guy for that matter!  :D

How fluffy is fluffy?  Because Renstore carries items up to 4XL.  Or you can contact Very Merry Seamstress for a custom order.  Jas Townesend also does some custom work.  It depends on how much you are willing to spend.

To Be A Pirate [dot] com carries larger sizes too, although they don't have anything in green right now  :-\

Their coats and vests are quite nice though - my Husband wore the Captain La Sage coat and vest in our wedding :)

The cut is quite generous as well, he is about 5'8" and 210/220-ish and the XL fit him beautifully - he's quite broad in the chest and sometimes has issues with the fit of some jackets.

Tammy, yep thats the same one. Don't know who the originator of that coat is or I would probably talk to them directly. No site that I can find has one in at least 3x though.

Dragongirl, Fluffy is for me 3xish. Generally that is what works but I have fairly broad shoulders and chest and those two things contribute to making me hard to fit. I generally get sleeveless garb partly for that reason. I have trouble buying regular jackets for this reason too.

Tygrkat33, I've looked through that site before and nothing really grabbed me. They do have my size on stuff and are a great starting point for me. I'm glad you have used them before, I was hesitating on them because the site kinda looks... cheesy lol

For the 6 (yes 6) people who renmailed me privately. I really appreciate the offers of individuals who can make stuff for me, but unless someone has a storefront or I have met them in real life I just wont take a chance due to the cost on something like this. (Please take no offense, I am a total paranoid about buying anything online in the first place lol). I hope ya'll understand that.

For those who have been sending me sites... keep them coming please! Somewhere out there is the buccaneer coat for me.
Seriously, If there are (according to the news) more overweight people in the US and there are more obese people than overweight then why cant us fluffy types find clothes?

*thats the kind of thinking that sends me back to my rum bottle*

Teach, this site has a somewhat fancier coat available in hunter and oddly that same coat you pictured in available here. I like it better.

I wonder if you could find someone connected with TRF to fashion you one in green? Close by and exactly what you want.

I agree on the site, it is kinda cheese-errific :P ...they really could stand to make it look a bit less...'costume-y'...

I was a little concerned when my Husband picked that jacket and vest for the same reason, but when they arrived I was pleasantly surprised - the cotton velvet they used was just the right weight (and quite pettable, too, I might add  ;) ) and the seams and buttons seem quite sturdy.

Good luck on your search!

Let me tell you, you can't make that coat yourself for what they're asking, $25 pattern, $35 worth of buttons and $160 worth of wool fabric.
