OMG.  Why did they part with it?

I haven't heard anything about the original owner - maybe needed the money, maybe wasn't into the books, who knows.  To me that would be a family heirloom.

Oh I agree.  Something that would be passed down continuously.

 That would be a treasure!
I am still hoping JK will write more about Harry. Or his kids? Or who knows?

A prequel - I'd love to learn more about the Marauders, Petunia & Lily, Lucius, Severus & Dumbledore.  Or a sequel - continue the romances, Ginny's career w/the Holyhead Harpies, Harry & Ron's careers w/the Aurors, etc., who did Draco marry - there is a treasure trove waiting to be mined, which is why there is all the fanfic.  BUT I WANT MORE OF JK's HARRY! *pouts & stamps her feet*

All great ideas Taffy! I want more. Jk does not need more $$$- but we need more Harry!
My Tonner Dumbledore has been shipped! I should get him next week! Can't wait!

Professor Dumbledore arrived yesterday! He is wonderful!
I am so pleased.
Alas! He did not come with a wand! How can this be?
I got right to work and created him not only a wand- but a staff befitting his position as headmaster!
What fun! Wondering if perhaps doll wands and staffs might sell? HMMM?

I think he needs a little carton of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans.  Congratulations on the newest addition to the family.

OH yes! Great Bertie Botts are a great idea- but I will leave out the Earwax flavor!

I'm sure he would appreciate that, but leave in the bogey-flavoured ones.

My wife and Kids are crazy about Harry Potter. I read the first 4 books in no time at all, then I started to read the 5th. one Order of the Phoenix and about 200 pages into it I still couldn't get into the book. I'm told by several people I need to read it and just stick it out no matter how boring it gets or bored I get any suggestions or reasons I should do this and read it?

Go back and read the first one to remind yourself why you fell in love w/Potter Universe.  The books do get rather convoluted and - dare I say it - draggy in parts, but you have to read every blessed word otherwise something that happens two books down the road makes no sense at all.

Give yourself a little break from them and come back in a couple of weeks or a month.  If you still can't get into it, well, there's always the released movies in which to immerse yourself and new ones to look forward to.

You can always try book on tape.  That might help you out.  I found some books better on tape than reading them myself.

Check youtube - I recall that some of the HP books on tape are there.

My wife has them for the ipod and I may end up listening to it that way. It's also been about a year since I tried reading it so it may work out better this time around.
