today, in the mail, was an envelope from Bastrop County.

inside was the approved BUILDING PERMIT for Sherwood Forest Faire!

get all excited -- go tell everybody that Robin Hood is on his way.

contracts will be forthcoming soon to vendors who have applied and approved: as soon as we have signed contracts in hand, folk can pick their locations.

very exciting development.

thanks for your faith and support.

So, each booth owner doesn't have to get a separate County Building Permit for their booth construction?  What about Electric & Plumbing Inspections?

Just Curious,

I submitted a site plan for the construction of up to 100 booths in addition to stages, fencing, etc

This, all construction within my app is covered under the faire's construction permit. Plumbing is seperate.  I am speaking with bluebonnet electric coop next week about getting the electrical to the site.

Until then, folk will need to use generators for construction needs

I will not be signing or issuing contracts on site during the gathering.
An application needs to be submitted for jurying and then, if approved, contracts will be issued via mail.
At receipt of executed contracts, vendors can stake claim to their booth or tent site

Exciting times

Thanks everyone

spent the day staking out booths and stages, chess arena, restrooms, etc...and numbering them.

will be meeting with bluebonnet electric later this week.

the recent rains really packed down the sandy soil.

two more vendor apps received.

exciting, indeed.

contracts go out by Monday of next week.
after I receive them back signed, construction can begin.
we are finishing the fence in the next couple weeks, as well as four more smaller stages and the front gate.
water should be to the land soon enough.
still waiting to hear back from blue bonnet electric.  until that time, generators are necessary, or the old fashion swinging of hammers and back and forth of hand saws.

i will be gone from march 12-28th.  will be checking email.  (admin@swf-faire.com). going to bali to pick up carts, wagons, wheel barrows, etc for the faire.

cheers,
