First ever Ren Fest and I have no idea what to wear....

One thing I did was get together with friends and have sewing parties.  They were experienced with faire and I wasn't so they helped me make a blouse and skirt for my first faire.  Sewing your stuff or getting friends to help is a very good way to save money and still be dressed up in garb.  My bf at the time bought me a corset at TRF from Scarlet's and I got shoes there too from Native Earth.  Whatever you do, make sure you have comfortable shoes!  You will be miserable if you don't.
