The Highland Rogue

We have thousands and thousands of pictures posted of this wonderful festival.

But now I propose we each choose just ONE favorite picture.

Post the picture and why you chose it.  I will start this off.

The Picture:

The Reason:

Just look at her...  The Last Drum Circle...  The Faire is over for the season...  Covered with Anti-Peep Propaganda...  a long day and a long festival, only minutes away from the relaxing bubblebath and still the lovely smile, the look of happiness, and the twinkle in her eye seen from an over the shoulder glance goodbye.

This is why she has kept her head.  And why we love her.  Long Live the Queen!!! :-*

This was taken opening weekend. Kees the Tailor and Me.

I met Kees four seasons ago. Again on opening weekend. It was my first faire as "Anna", my first real gown and I was late for my first meet and greet and not knowing the faire well I couldn't find the pub at which we were to meet. He was kind enough to offer me escort to the pubs until we found the group and a kiss on the hand and sweet words in parting. The next day, a very cold and windy one, he offered his cloak (with him in it... ;D) and earned his new moniker The Wench Warmer. We three( WW was the third) made the papers with that picture. A nice memory and a nice moment in a very rocky weekend.

Since then Kees and I have become friends. He's always been there, cloak or no, to offer the shelter of friendship and a smile, a laugh and some darned good scotch eggs. This year in particular I had the best laugh with him in the lanes I've had in many a moon. We laughed until we cried over a bit of silliness and a new moniker. We laughed so long it brought people in to find out what was so darned funny. It loses something in the retelling, so I'll leave it as a memory. You had to be there.  :) :) :)

Sir LJ

It's not fair to have to choose one. So many great memories from this season. So, since I have to choose one, here you go:

Taken my B-Day weekend. Keri's 1st time at fair. The smile on her face says it all! I flip from this picture to another as the background on the laptop but I keep coming back to this one.
