Historic Arms and Armour

Hey all,

I wanted to -bump- this topic, since we're less than 2 months out. The event preparations are moving swiftly forward and the other competitors and I are chomping at the bit (figuratively, except for the horses) to get out there and smash it up.

This is going to be the competition of the year, with my team, The Order of the Crescent, 3 time winners of the Sword of Honour Team Tournament at the Royal Armouries Museum Leeds UK, facing last year's victors the Order of the Star, captained by Luke Binks of Australia.

The event is a true international Knightly competition, comprised of Foot Combat with PollAxes, Club Tourney (mounted melee) and 4 sessions of JOUSTING!

Toby Capwell, arms and armour curator of the Wallace Collection London, will be here competing on my team and will also give a presentation on heroic armour of the 15th century. A once in a lifetime chance!!

See you there!!!!!

Luke's put together a short video of some of the Foot Combat from last year's Tournament of the Phoenix.  We're gearing up for this year's event, which happens in just over 2 weeks!

Enjoy!

Edited to use YouTube video rather than Facebook
