We are looking for a group to join

Hello there fellow Rennie's!!!!
Both me and my boyfriend( Antoinette and Shawn Houston TX natives we are still trying to figure out persona's)/father of my unborn child/possible future husband are both fair goers its kinda how we hooked up This year we will be attending only the weekend of Highland fling including the camping all weekend because I'm having a baby at the end of September. Starting next year we will be attending 3 weekends and  will add more year by year and also attending Scarby for the first time! We intend to keep expanding and our camping is getting fancier and bigger every year, this year we are making Loki and lots of it and are spending more on that one weekend than we will be spending for Chrismas. We are looking to join a group. We personally know members or Chaos and have meet members of other groups as well but just want to explore our options and learn how these things work to get the most out of our experience. We are open to any suggestions and information that any of you could provide concerning groups or clans.

As someone who works faire (blacksmithing) and doesn't get out much, I haven't a clue as to what groups are out there these days. That being said, I DO strongly recommend you camp with people you know and trust, as not all of the elements out there are trustworthy (okay, I know that is the understatement of the century, but I am trying to be polite). Ask around, because the groups have changed since my day with the McClues, but there should be a group or three that have a reputation for being safe havens. My advice, anyway

For most groups just wanting to join is only the start. Many groups require you to be sponsored for a period of time (usually 6 months to a year) before being voted in (usually just a courtesy vote, if you make a year you are pretty much in).
That being said, I would highly recommend McLotofus as a great first (and possibly only) group to join. The way to join is pretty just saying "Hey, I want to be in McLotofus" and poof... You're in,
ML is very open to anyone and so far as I know has never technically kicked anyone out. (There were some requested to leave the camp before but I consider that slightly different). As long as you are wanting to come out, have fun and not make drama happen... then join up and come on and play.
Once your hanging with ML you will meet many more groups including Chaos, Claw, Drunken Gnomes, CotCT, BS, PoP, Red Star... ya know... I am not about to list them all lol
just come on.. .we'll take care of getting you included in all kinds of stuffs

I'm a newbie but I've met a handful of Clan McLotofus and they are a good group of people.
I'll be camping with them this year so feel free to join us if you don't get wierded out by freaks like me. Most others are normal.   lol

I think that is what I like about McLotofus (ML), is the diversity of everyone, the only thing you can piegon hole with anyone in ML is they are good people and are trust worthy people and all love Ren.  It is for the most part family friendly as people bring their kids into camp there too, okay... PG13.

You just say you want to hang out.  That's it.  Show up to the next event and start getting to know everyone else.  It really is that simple.
