Back in the olden days, I thought anything less than 5" was a flat.

Some shoes are just for activities other than walking...  ::)
When you die can you donate your body to pseudo-science?

Love the little peep toes. :)
So dainty...so kick butt.  :D

Rani Zemirah

I'm sorry, GP, but having those heels up in the air would constitute a deadly weapon!  I mean, it's all fun and games... until someone loses an eye.  :P  :D

I thought I saw a link to the side for flats on that show page...
I'm loving the heels though!! I can walk in heels up to a 6", after that my feet start screaming. :D

Oops, never mind....there is a page for flats, but no shoes in that category yet. Lol.

BubbleWright, that looks like so much fun! An entire town given over to the event. I wish I lived closer.

Taffy Saltwater

Oh, Bubblewright, that sounds like a blast.  Would that I were closer to any of these events.

Gaaahhh!!!  Oh, I can hardly WAIT until that site is completely up and running... and I'm guessing it would be well worth the time and expense of a visit!!!

I decided I needed a Spring/Summer walking suit as my black one, as much as I like it, is more suited to cooler weather.  Last year I made a lilac taffeta walking skirt, but hadn't done anything about making a jacket.  I decided to make a sleeveless (aka vest) jacket with an apple green lining.  The lining pops out to be a large lapel and it will be reversible, so one side will be lilac w/apple green lapels, and vice versa.  I'm about 80% done w/it.

I sewed two rows of purple grosgrain ribbon around the hem of the skirt last year.  I'll layer some apple green ribbon on top of the purple ribbon to tie it into the top. I'll make a coordinating corselet to wear under it in the next couple of weeks.

Wow, that city sounds awesome! Too bad I'm too far :(

Taffy, you wear me out with all your projects!  I can hardly wait to see what you produce when you finally get your own sewing room!

I was at michael's the other day and found some potential steamy goodness. In their scrapbooking section they have little gears and locks and clock work stuff then they have a section of charms and pendants called "industrial chic" which is the same kind of things. Pretty neat stuff.
