"View of the lake" apparently means that if you use a telescope in winter when the leaves have all fallen and if you look JUST RIGHT that you can see the lake.  Good luck with that.

Far ahead, I see relaxation and great enjoyment, but in the near term, I see packing, sorting, and discarding all of the junk we aren't taking to the new house.

"The New House" you say!  Well, I am SOOO happy for you and also so very jealous.  We've been living apart for 3 years now and looking for a new house or land to build on so that we can all live together again.  It's not going very well.  But to you, happy packing!

Packing is a pain in the posterior. I got most of our DVDs packed into eight 1.5 cubic foot boxes. That's 1.33 cubic yards of movie discs!

Discs are one thing but I've still got dozens of VHS tapes in boxes! Anyone else have a VHS player that still works?

A VHS player that still works is part of my arsenal of obsolete hardware.
