Glo stix are swell, but I got the lass a small LED flashlight  8)

May I suggest the small ones with the attached caribiner clip- that way you can clip it to the ceiling in the port-o-privvy at night and see what's going on. I like to see where I'm sitting LOL...

My recomendation are these "swash" clothes.  They are thicker than the average baby wipes so fingers do not go poking thru in critical areas. :o  And they really do feel refreshing.

I saw some of those at Wally Worl....uum WalMart, and wondered if they were better then ordinary babywipes. Thanks.

has anyone ever tried what is called 'dry shampoo'?  apparently it cleans the scalp and you don't need to use water.  i have seen it on a few websites (rather pricey), but it might be a good item for camping if it really works.

(remembers a Laverne & Shirley episode about that...)

I guess it could work if you have really short hair, but mine, short for the first time in 20 years, is STILL down to my waist- i somehow dont think it would work for me.

Hubby and I have the luxury of a shower- and even if it's too cold for more than a babywipe bath, you can always wash your hair by heating water on the stove and having help to wet and rinse... ooh- with some rosemary soap- YUM! Then sit by the campfire to dry...

belle, we have the luxury of a shower too, but i was thinking of water conservation if needed.

oh you mean there was an episode of that on L & S?  i don't remember that, lol!

blue, as long as it's not the showering yeti we might not need to bleach our brains, lol.  :o  how is our beloved CAD Plotter o' the camp anyway?  haven't seen him on the boards in quite a while...

Blue- only if we've had a LOT of loki!

but a linen chemise is pretty darn close, and a silk one might as well be!!!

Pearl- yep- apparently, Laverne wanted Shirley to go on a double date with her, and Shirley wanted to wash her hair- she had already gotten it wet- Laverne dumps the dry wash stuff in her hair and it pretty much turned to glue- Good times!! Shlameel-Shlamozzle!

I tried the no rinse shampoo, made it smell good, but look greasy... me no likey!!!  I tried it at home so I did not have to go in public.

We also have a shower, but sometimes it is just too darned cold.  The swash clothes I put the package under my shirt to warm up before using them, so it is not such a shock to the body.
