Rant and Negativity Threads: Please Read!
« on: June 10, 2011, 01:40:40 PM »
It seems there has become more and more "negative" threads here on the forum recently.  At first, it wasn't a problem and appeared to be an outlet for people to let off some steam.  At this point, all I'm seeing is negativity breeding more negativity into more and more threads, and I'm putting a stop to it for now.  You may not realize, but I receive complaints DAILY on these threads to the point of it becoming an unnecessary burden for the forum to the point of it becoming childish.  I see no reason to keep these threads going if all they are going to do is put a damper on the forum itself with people worrying about who-said-what.  This forum is here for one primary reason...to interact with like-minded individuals and have a good time.  We come here to get away from our real world problems; not to drag them along.

I could fill the forum with some of my current problems.  Nyte has been without work for about 8 months.  I've been working two jobs up until just a few weeks ago (when I was let go from one, unfortunately) which is why you haven't seen much of me around in that time.  We filed for bankruptcy a couple weeks ago as a result of all of this.  And that's just a couple things off the top of my head.  But you know what?  I come here to see what people are up to, see pics from various faires, and try to forget about those problems, not drag them along and bring everyone else down, even if I'm not actively contributing at the moment.

So from here on out, let's try to be more positive here and see if we can get along without having to resort to these unproductive discussions.  I'll leave this thread open for some constructive thoughts if anyone has anything to add.
