Jenny O'Connor has a new group- Debuting at GLMF!

I know I for one, am very jealous!

Jenny is the violinist for the former E Muzeki, so you are all in for a GREAT treat!

Please report back and let us know how the new venture (called Circa Paleo) sounds!

If Jenny is Fiddlin' you know they'll sound great!

It was hearing her fiddle playing in the distance at Excalibur (Smithville site), that drew me to the first E Muzeki show that I ever saw.  To me, her playing is a lot like Alisdair Fraser's --- a sense of ease and emotion.

I hope they'll be performing in Texas sometime soon, so I can hear her again.

A different band that last season's Elysium?  Interesting.  I am sure Jenny can't wait for me to drunkenly demand "The Kiss! The Kiss!"

Scarlett, I thought you only did that to ME!   :-*

I am really looking forward to hearing Circa Paleo.  See you on the 11th!

As a *HUGE* fan of eMuzeki, I admit I was not very impressed with Elysium last year, and didn't have very high hopes for the reporganized group this year.

I was pleasantly surprised.  I thought they sounded very good this past week end.  Jenny seems much more at ease this year.

Well given the circumstances around which she and Joshua left the band, I'm not surprised that she was stumbling to find her footing last year. However, I think she's made quite the comeback on her own terms this time, finding her individuality!

I wasn't needed at the booth last weekend so I took mom to the faire on Sunday (if you didn't notice me, it's because I was in 'danes...I will never do that again!), and we had the opportunity to sit and listen to the new group.  They were awesome!  I bought a CD and popped it in for the drive home ~ loved every minute of it!  Buying the other two CDs this weekend  ;D  (Sadly, the new group doesn't have one out yet.)
