I need some help and advice.
StudMuffin and i will be going to TRF on Black Friday.  I am seeking a bodice chiller for a gift and have absolutely no idea as to where to look.
Please give me suggestions as to which shops might have these.  I can't say I've ever looked for them before as my mare, Snugglebunny doesn't need them, and My Lady doesn't 'Faire'.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I don't know if they are there this year but...last year in the new "special artist" area over by Castle Stage...er...Tower Stage there was one vendor who sold them.  I don't know if they are there this year but you could check there.

I seem to remember seeing them this year in that same area, but I don't know if they were only there on certain weekends, or if they're there for the whole run

Keeper, I'm guessing that the Glassblower would be able to make one for you, if you can't find any ready-made.  Her name is Jodi, and her booth number is 525.  She is a demo artist out there, and should be available for custom work, I would imagine.  There are other glassworks out there, as well, and they are all listed in the program, or you should be able to ask for locations and directions at any of the information kiosks.

Well, tomorrow is Turkey Day...and the beginning of the final weekend of the year for this little Faire we call home.  As much as i'd love to be there all weekend, I'll have to get my final fix Sunday and hope it'll be enough to get me through till the next time.  :(

Hope to see some of you in the lanes...  ;)

I'll be at TRF for all three days of Celtic Christmas weekend.  Hope to see many of you out there!

Have a wonderful time, everyone!  Miss you all...

Just noticed that this was still in the corner of the fridge, where it's been hidden since we got home last year, just waiting until I needed the comfort of feeling a little closer to you all!  It helps to pull forward the memories of last year, and all of the years we've been able to make it down there, and makes the smell of woodsmoke that still lingers in my cloak just a little stronger.  So tonight I'll lift this bottle of Fraser's Banana Nut Bread (or possibly Buttered Rum?  I can't be sure, at this point... it's been a while) Loki (that was given to me at some point, and I can't remember by whom... but I do know who made it), and think of all of you... and pretend that we are there at the fire, as well.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all, and a Happy Celtic Christmas, as well!

Oh!  It's amazingly smooth!  It has completely mellowed, and it tastes like there isn't even any alcohol in it at all.

Dangerous stuff...  :o  lol

Wish you were here, Rani.  I thought about you today as I waked past the Prince Of Wales Pub.  The weather is beautiful  and the pub sing Friday night was one of the best ever.  I'll raise a toast to you tomorrow evening during the pub sing.  If you look skyward around 7:30 pm, we will be looking at the same stars!

Had a nice visit with some friends at the camp ground a few hours ago and will most likely be getting a tent and joining everyone next season.

Thank you for your help.  I found it just where you said under  BIG Bnner proclaiming "Bodice Coolers and Flasks".
I selected one and now will gift it for Christmas.

I knew the people here on the Forum would steer me in the right direction.

Sir Martin... you are trying to make me mist up, aren't you?  I think of you, as well, when I think of the POW, and the lovely respite we shared there last season.  Maybe next time we are able to get down there we'll all be able to watch the fireworks together.  It would be lovely to have you in camp, as well!  You know you are always welcome in Phoenix Risen!

I'll be looking at those stars...  :)

I certainly hope you can make it down next season, Rani.  I don't know if I have ever seen a larger crowd than was at the pub sing Saturday night.  Here's a first ... the Sea Devil pub ran OUT of beer about 45 minutes before the pub sing was over.  At the end, they had just a few bottles of wine ane mead left.  Can you imagine ... the biggest pub at TRF running out of beer?!

I put my camera up before the pub sing because it was after sundown, but wish I had kept it with me.  At one point, somebody passed around a life size, inflatable pirate (with parrot on his shoulder) in the crowd.  The inflatable pirate was crowd surfing for the last several minutes of the show!

Everyone had a great time, and I toasted all of my friends who were not present.  It was truly magical.  Will visit New Market Village for a few hours on Sunday and am so thankful for all of the camaraderie at our beloved TRF.  This 40th season has been wonderful, but seems all too brief.

Been out all weekend, only seen Meggers other than the folks we're camping with. We really need to set up a closing day or weekend gathering. I'll be at the Barbarian Inn or floating about looking for yas :-)

Alas, another year of TRF has ended.
But as all good football fans say. "Wait till next year!".

Hope to see everyone again, then.

It was a nice, relaxing day for Closing Day...the crowds weren't as bad as i thought they would be and the weather was almost perfect.  I saw very few people that i knew...Valt, McIntyre, Lady Ashley, Breandan and Tiff as well a sprinkle of others. ;D  I know one thing for sure...time to work on some new garb. ;)
Another season has been put behind us and our minds turn towards the Holidays. Time to pull out the Christmas lights, cut down a tree, deck the halls and all that happy sh 1t.  ;)
