It was a fun weekend and with all the rain we've had lately, the weather was just about perfect!  Downed some brews with Keeper as per our usual thing on AHE.  Good to see you again Fraser also.  Thanks for all Loki that you brought over during the Clan Hatching (the Christmas in your mouth was pretty damn good).  Got to see and speak to Dennis also.  God bless that guy and his family, it's been a rough couple of years.  But he was there to have some fun and I'm pretty sure that was mission accompLished!!  The Jambalaya that the Capt fixed up on Friday evening was outstanding as usual.  The only downside to the weekend, it just ended too damn soon.   

I'm glad that my Loki was enjoyed.  I had Nug with me and he had never seen anything like y'alls ceremony, so he enjoyed watching how some clans bring new people in.  Being a guest, I felt that i needed to honor your clan, so I lead the cheer at the end of the ceremony.

I talked to Dennis for a good bit.  He seems to be handling it as well as could be expected...Chris did a good thing bringing him out.

Loved, being there. We had our share of fun. Named a clan member and we had an engagement!  I'll take that over a regular day any time. We'll be back Highlands.

StudMuffin and I are planning to attend one last time (this year) on Black Friday.  We will likely spend Friday night in the campground with the Clan, so I can have an "adult" beverage or seven.  Then leave O'Dark-Early on Saturday.  So we'll miss seeing you Fraser.  But All Hallows with you was a blast.

I've really just signed up to look into selling my admission and camping pass (purchased during the big sale, so just looking to get what I paid, not a profit), and I figured selling to the biggest fans was best. Any advice or a nudge in the right direction would be appreciated! Really sad we're not gonna make it this year. I've been going since 2008.

Keeper, we'll be out closing Friday as well. I'll keep an eye out for ya. Don't know if we'll stay long enough to walk out to the camps. It'll depend on how crabby everyone is by the end of the day.

Just came from TRF(WTF) and there was a post about the heavy handed security forces, in camp, over AHE.  My clan was hit by one of the sweeps...they found nothing but still proceeded to give some of our people a hard time.  Just because you busted groups near us, smoking dope, doesn't mean you should storm into our camp yelling "WHERE ARE THE DRUGS!!".  Out of the 6-8 officers, only one had a good attitude and was inclined to speak in more that grunts and finger pointing.  One poor guy was sitting in his car and had it torn apart for an empty ziplock.  Freaking stupid.   

*Beginning to re-think Sherwood...2019 might be my last AHE and only because it would be ten years straight that I've camped there...and Sunday Night Steak Night *

That is strange.  Our camp was less than 100 yards away from yours and to my knowledge, we had no problems with security.  Must be because we are so clean cut (not).  Hope you keep attending, Fraser.  AHE is about the only time I get to see you and chat outside this forum.

Looking forward to running into you, Kilted Privateer.  And I will try not to run over your toes.  But that depends on how early in the day we meet.  After a few, StudMuffin has a mind of his own and I just hang on for the ride.

They were cruising the access road, sniffing the air.  They busted two or three camps behind ours and started a sweep through...after being buzz kills at our camp, they headed towards Time Warp.  Later on, we watched them chase down a runner, farther down the hill from us.  I know they have a job to do but DAMN.  You have nothing on my camp yet you come in being A-holes...totally uncalled for.

I'll be there for at least one more year...we'll see about more,  afterwards
